On The Other Side Of Fear Is Love

“I am the royal Falcon on the arm of the Almighty. I unfold the drooping wings of every broken bird and start it on its flight.”
Bahá’u’lláh

What If Fear Were A Door?

Ten years ago I arrived in the Bahá’í World Centre broken-hearted. A lot has happened since then. I faced a lot of fears: the fear that I might not be able to make it on my own, the fear that I will end up on my own, the fear of being on my own, the fear of facing my reality, the fear that my reality might be darker than light, the fear that even if I faced my reality others would reject it, the fear that the light promised at the end of the tunnel might be a promise unfulfilled, the fear of unfulfilled promises, the fear of unfulfilled potential…

What’s On The Other Side Of Fear?

Fear distorts reality. It serves no one to distort one’s reality either way – neither stretching it and presenting it to be lighter than it is nor shrinking it to appear darker than it is. These days this child of the half-light knows that he is no more darkness than light. This morning I was humbled with a reminder that nothing is hidden. Today I saw that on the other side of fear is love — the type of love that wants us to grow! This gardener is ready to grow!

“Love is a light that never dwelleth in a heart possessed by fear.”
Bahá’u’lláh
