Arlington Prayer Station and Interfaith Spiritual Conversation “The Ocean of His Grace”

Dear friends,

I was recently sitting on a dramatic Pacific coast, listening to the beat of the waves and reflecting on the vastness of the ocean and its persistent interaction with the shore — at some places dramatic and rocky and at others, gradual and sandy. I imagined myself being the island and feeling the waves surge against me — at times gentle but often with overwhelming power. My beachside meditation made me think of the vastness of the Holy Writings and how often the image of an ocean they use evoke awe, embrace and power.

Please join me on Monday, November 9th, 2015 for an Interfaith Prayer Station devoted to the topic “The Ocean of His Grace”! Let us gather for fellowship and spiritual nourishment to help make our week ahead more purposeful and inspiring.

“O wayfarer in the path of God! Take thou thy portion of the ocean of His grace, and deprive not thyself of the things that lie hidden in its depths. Be thou of them that have partaken of its treasures. A dewdrop out of this ocean would, if shed upon all that are in the heavens and on the earth, suffice to enrich them with the bounty of God, the Almighty, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.” ~ Bahá’í Faith, Bahá’u’lláhGleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, CXXIX

We will start at 7 pm with dinner and continue with prayers, Holy Writings from different Faith traditions, and a discussion on the vastness of the Ocean of God’s Knowledge, Mercy, Love, Grace… We will uplift and refresh our souls with inspiring songs and we’ll conclude with tea and sweets.

We’ll also say prayers for anyone in need, so if you can’t join us and would like to request prayers please contact me.

Please let me know if you plan on coming so I can plan the refreshments and send you the directions! Until then, enjoy the beautiful song “Royal Falcon” by Parrish & Toppano, one of the first Baha’i songs I have ever heard:

“Let your vision be world-embracing, rather than confined to your own self.” ~ From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh
