Arlington Interfaith Prayer Station and Spiritual Conversation “Hyacinths of God’s knowledge” – Sunday, March 16, 2014

“O SON OF MY HANDMAID! Quaff from the tongue of the merciful the stream of divine mystery, and behold from the dayspring of divine utterance the unveiled splendor of the daystar of wisdom. Sow the seeds of My divine wisdom in the pure soil of the heart, and water them with the waters of certitude, that the hyacinths of knowledge and wisdom may spring up fresh and green from the holy city of the heart.”
(Baha’i FaithBahá’u’lláh, The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh)

“And I saw two streams of fire,
And the light of that fire shone like hyacinth,
And I fell on my face before the Lord of Spirits.”
(Christianity, The Book of Enoch)

Dear friends!

What nurtures your soul? What makes your heart tender? Prayer, spiritual conversation, music, fellowship, tea poured in peace, refreshments shared with smile? Whatever the answer might be, sharing prayers and inspiration with friends gets us all closer to the Creator and recharges us for the week ahead.

Arlington Interfaith Prayer Station and Spiritual Conversation “Hyacinths of God’s knowledge”

This Sunday, March 16th, 2014, I invite you and your loves ones to an Interfaith Prayer Station and a Spiritual Conversation in Arlington on the theme “Hyacinths of God’s knowledge”. We’ll start at 7:30 pm with light refreshments followed by reading, at 8:00 pm, of selected Holy Writings and Prayers. I have many books of prayers from different faith traditions but if you wish, feel free to bring your own prayers or inspiring writings. In addition to Holy Words, we shall uplift and refresh our souls with inspiring musical selections and we’ll conclude with tea and sweets.

We’ll also say prayers for anyone in need, so if you can’t join us and would like to request prayers please contact me. Please let me know if you plan on coming so I can plan the refreshments!

Until then, enjoy this beautiful Persian chant set to the Hidden Words of Baha’u’llah!

In His service,

Mitko – between my ears, on the right – between my ears, on the left

“Let your vision be world-embracing, rather than confined to your own self.”
