Arlington Fireside Discussion “Discovering Gleanings: The Greatness of this Day”

“…even doubters would find a powerful strength in it, if they would read it alone, and would give their souls time to expand.”

~ Queen Marie of Rumania

Dear friends!

What nurtures your soul? What makes your heart tender? Prayers and Holy Writings, music, fellowship, banana bread baked with love, tea poured in peace, sweets shared with smile? Whatever the answer might be, sharing with friends what inspires us, gets us all closer to the Creator and recharges us for the week ahead.

Discovering Gleanings

I invite you and your loves ones to a series of Fireside Discussions with Mr. Tony Joy who will accompany us in discovering  and exploring “Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh
. Tony recently published two books about the “magnificent gift”, as Shoghi Effendi called this compilation of selected tablets and extracts from tablets by Bahá’u’lláh.This Sunday, June 9th, 2013, we will start with the first theme in the series, “The Greatness of this Day”. We’ll start at 7:30 pm with light refreshments followed by readings and discussion, at 8:00 pm. In addition to Holy Words, we shall uplift and refresh our souls with spiritual music, and we’ll conclude with tea and sweets.

We’ll also say prayers for anyone in need, so if you can’t join us and would like to request prayers please contact me.

Please let me know if you plan on coming so I can plan the refreshments!

Our next devotional gathering, “Test and Difficulties from a Spiritual Perspective” will be on June 16th,  a house concert with Katharine Key who will share her musical talents at the next Musical Prayer Station!
