Tests and Difficulties from a Spiritual Perspective – Musical Prayer Station with Katharine Key

“Should prosperity befall thee, rejoice not and should abasement come upon thee, grieve not, for both shall pass away and be no more.”

~ Baha’u’llah, The Hidden Words, #52

Dear friends!

What nurtures your soul? What makes your heart tender? Prayer, music, fellowship, delectable refreshments, tea poured in peace, banana bread baked with love and shared with a smile? Whatever the answer might be, sharing songs and prayers with friends gets us all closer to the Creator and recharges us for days ahead.

Tests and Difficulties from a Spiritual Perspective – Musical Prayer Station with Katharine Key

I invite you and your loves ones to a very special Musical Prayer Station on Sunday, June 16th, 2013, at 7:30 pm, when we welcome back DC Baha’i recording artist Katharine Key. Katharine will be sharing some songs from her newly released second CD “what the fire is“, accompanied by reflections on “Tests and Difficulties from a Spiritual Perspective.” We all struggle. What is the Baha’i perspective on life’s tests? This promises to be a inspiring evening!

You don’t want to miss this! And you should tell your friends about it too!

Please let me know if you plan on coming so I can plan the refreshments and send you the directions!

Katharine Key is a singer-songwriter who loves playing music to uplift people’s hearts and enrich their lives. She is classically trained in piano and self-taught on guitar, but only plays so that she can sing — her first passion. She has been a Baha’i for 17 years and took up guitar and song-writing so that she could serve the community, since music and the arts are an essential element of Baha’i community life.
