What nurtures your soul? What makes your heart tender? Prayer, music, fellowship, tea poured in peace, homemade banana bread baked with love and shared with a smile? Whatever the answer might be, sharing music and prayers with friends gets us all closer to the Creator.

I invite you and your loves ones on Friday, November 2nd, at 7:30 pm, to a very special Musical Prayer Station with Gustaff Besungu who will present songs and music with the African Drum (Djembe), story telling and traditional dance from Cameroon – West Africa.

Gustaff Besungu is a performer who hails from a lineage of drum players. Born and raised in Cameroon – West Africa, he brings to life a unique blend of traditional rhythms with music from around the world. He has performed with the Baha’i World Centre Choir (Haifa, Israel), Alma-Latina (Norman, Oklahoma), The Light Combo (An Acoustic trio in Oklahoma), and with many other musical groups and individuals.

Gustaff will present his new song “Shadows“, dedicated to bringing light to the oppression of women and girls. His previous collaboration was with Ali Youssefi and Pam Hill on a project known as Music for the Soul. He travels and shares aspects of Cameroonian culture through storytelling, drumming, dancing and singing. His familiarity with audiences—be it in schools, universities, major theatrical productions or in the comforts of a home—is far ranging. His uplifting voice and captivating spirit is an enjoyable experience for people of all ages and backgrounds.
