Arlington Prayer Station or Lake Street Dive concert — what’s it gonna be?

The art of music is divine and effective. It is the food of the soul and spirit. Through the power and charm of music the spirit of man is uplifted.
(Abdu’l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 52)

Dear friends!

What nurtures your soul? What makes your heart tender? Prayer, music, fellowship, tea poured in peace, homemade banana bread baked with love and shared with a smile or a live concert featuring Rachael Price‘s gorgeous voice backed by playful yet passionate upright bass/drum/guitar/trumpet combo? Whatever the answer might be, sharing prayers and fellowship with friends gets us all closer to the Creator.
This Thursday, September 29th, I invite you and your loves ones to two equally uplifting yet different events — the choice is yours and does not need to be exclusive either:
The Prayer Station in Arlington will start at 8 pm with reading of selected Holy Writings and Prayers from different faith traditions. Feel free to bring your own books of prayer or inspirational poetry. We’ll also uplift and refresh our souls with music and we’ll conclude with tea and sweets. We’ll also say prayers for anyone in need, so if you can’t join us and would like to request prayers please contact me.
