Arlington Prayer Station Invitation “You Are Remembered And Not forgotten!”

All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten Thee, neither have we been false to Thy covenant. Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from Thy path; Though Thou hast crushed us into a place of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death. If we had forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange god; Would not God search this out? For He knoweth the secrets of the heart.
[Judaism / Christianity, Kesuvim (Writings), Tehillim (Psalms), 44,18 – 27]

One is not a learned man by virtue of much speaking. He who is patient, without anger and fearless, he is to be called learned. One is not a bearer of the teaching by virtue of much speaking, but he who, even if he has only studied a little, has experienced the truth in person, he is indeed a bearer of the teaching, who has not forgotten the teaching.
[Buddhism, Dhammapada – Sayings of the Buddha]

I have not forgotten nor will I forget thee. I beseech God that He may graciously make thee the sign of His bounty amidst mankind, illumine thy face with the light of such blessings as are vouchsafed by the merciful Lord, single thee out for His love in this age which is distinguished among all the past ages and centuries.
[Bahá’í Faith, Abdu’l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha, p. 114]

Dear friends!

What nurtures your soul? What makes your heart tender? Prayer, music, fellowship, tea poured in peace, homemade banana bread baked with love and shared with a smile? Whatever the answer might be, sharing prayers with friends gets us all closer to the Creator.

In honor of the 3rd anniversary of the imprisonment of seven peaceful Baha’is in Iran (know as the Yaran, or friends), let us show our solidarity and support for their sacrifices and help share their story with the world. For more information on the plight of the Baha’is in the cradle of this peaceful Faith, go to http://iran.bahai.us/
